Sonny Burgess was born in Texas and raised in the small town of Cleburne, Texas. Sonny grew up listening to the traditional country music songs of Hank Williams, Chet Atkins, Roy Clark and Glen Campbell. These Country Stars had a big influence on Sonny’s music. Sonny soon found out at an early age that he loved the stage and had a natural ability to play and sing to an audience. From his first performance on stage in the second grade, Sonny knew he was destined to be a Traditional Country Music Artist. During high school, Sonny excelled in Sports; from playing as quarterback in football to the pitcher on the baseball team. Sonny enjoyed performing for everyone whether it was Sports or Country Music. Sonny remembers playing his music at the Civic Center with his band right after the sporting events he attended had ended. Sonny went on to play professional baseball, but soon had to decide between the two careers he loved, Baseball or Country Music. Thank goodness he chose Country Music or we would not have such CD’s as, “When In Texas”, “Stronger”, and his New Release CD, “Have You Got A Song Like That”, on Red River Records coming out in January 2009. In 2001, Music City Records and Producer Kerry Kurt Phillips released “When In Texas” which seemed to crystallize all the hope and potential Cleburne had seen in its favorite son for years. It notched four top 10 singles in the key Texas music charts and brought him the first opportunities to play venues such as the Grand Old Opry, Nashville's Fan Fair/CMA Music Festival, The Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville & Orlando and Sonny made his national television debut on "Crook & Chase". If it wasn't the yellow brick road, it was an important stepping stone. Sonny Burgess went back to Nashville to his first Producer, Mr. Kerry Kurt Phillips of “When In Texas” to produce his new CD. Sonny and Kerry Kurt had been friends and wrote songs together before his first CD “When In Texas”. They have always had a very good working relationship. Mr. Phillips knows just what to say to Sonny to get the best performance from him. Sonny Burgess’s new single release “The Request” from the CD “Have You Got A Song Like That”, is now climbing the Texas Country Charts. Mr. Phillips thinks this will be the very best of Sonny Burgess.

Ive been waiting for this cd for awhile...cowboy cool is a really good song...give it a listen before you download if you like

Former Texas A&M student Casey Donahew said that they decided to do a live
recording because of the energy they get from crowds, which was apparent during
their performance on Feb. 27. They recorded their new album live at Bostock\'s in
Stephenville, but that\'s not all we can look forward to hearing on the album.

There are six new songs on the track. Two of the new songs were cut during the
live performance in Stephenville, while the other four were special tracks
produced in the studio. One of those being his current hit single, \"Crazy,\"
which he co-wrote with his wife Melinda.

Donahew also co-wrote with singer/songwriters Andy Pate and Scott Copeland.
Some of these songs include \"Hunter S\" and \"Alabama Slammer,\" which Donahew said
is his favorite new song, because of the vibe it gives and its profound lyrics.
Donahew said he is proud of the new stuff. \"The new stuff is definitely some of
the better writing that I\'ve done,\" Donahew said.

While Donahew said that his roots in Fort Worth inspired his distinctive
combination of classic country and rock and roll, as can be heard in his hit,
\"Stockyards,\" he also expressed that his time here in Aggieland has also had a
big influence on his career as an artist.

\"I have definitely written songs that have had to do with things that have
happened here in College Station,\" he said. \"I draw my songs from life, whether
it\'s what\'s going on in my life, where I\'m at in my life or who I\'m around.\"

The band will also be busy non-stop for the next few months performing and
promoting their new album in places all over the nation such as New Mexico,
Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas, where they have already sold out shows much like
they do here in Texas.

It is clear that this hot band is headed to the top. Wherever the road may take
them, they are ready to go there rockin\' in style! \"As long as people keep
listening, we\'re gonna keep doing what we do, which is playing, wherever it may
be,\" Donahew said.

Release Notes:

Ryan Bingham has spent most of his life on the road, first on the

rough-and-tumble rodeo circuit, then moving from town to town on

the equally volatile roadhouse musical circuit. Those travels have

given him plenty of material to draw from - and plenty of reason

to stop for a moment to dig in his heels and take a stand.

That's exactly what the Texas-bred troubadour does on his second

Lost Highway album, Road House Sun, a hardscrabble collection

that's at once unblinkingly personal and unapologetically

political - the latter a new and bracingly vivid addition to

Bingham's palette.

Produced, like its predecessor, by one-time Black Crowes guitarist

Marc Ford, Road House Sun manages to capture a feel that's rootsy

without being retro. That has a lot to do with the singer's

preternaturally wizened voice - which Bingham laughingly

attributes to "Too many nights in the whiskey house" - not to

mention Ford's approach behind the board," which Bingham describes

as "really old school. Those guitar tones and basslines, Marc knew

how to get those down. He wanted to do it the way they used to do

it."

FAQ

Q: How can I share some of my music?

 A: The easiest way is to upload is to zip the entire folder or to rar it with Winrar. Then upload it using the orange colored Filebox at the bottom of the left column on any page.  That will upload it to megaupload and I will repost the link for you.

Q: What is a .rar file?

A: Similar to a zip file that is supported within windows but is a more commonly used online.  You can download either 7-Zip (free) or Winrar (Free Trial) to open them.

Q: Hey is there a way I can download a bunch of files without having to wait forever?

A: Why yes! Its called JDownloader and can queue multiple links that are sent to it from within Firefox using the FlashGot Plugin and by pressing Alt while clicking on any sort of Rapidshare, Megaupload, Mediafire, etc link.  It will even automatically extract them from the rars for you.

Q: Aren't you guys just stealing music from starving artists?


A: The best way to support an artist is to go out to their concerts. I remember several times going to Cross Canadian Ragweed concerts and having them say something to the effect of "I don't care how you get our music just get it and give it to all your friends and their friends..." Most of these guys are simply trying to make name for themselves and we try to help them out. Hence the Artist You Outta Know category.

A: Start with LoneStarMusic they have pretty much everything there. If you really like them and want to buy a shirt or something Google is your friend.
