Who is your favorite "Artist You Outta Know"?
I'm just wanting to get a little feedback on uploads I tagged as "Artist You Outta Know" I felt like everyone who listens to Texas Country should have some idea who those artist are. Who do you like from the uploads. You can also mention your favorite album/artist that you discovered here. Its nice to have a blog where people can share similar taste in music.

Whiskey Myers is a great rookie album from a bunch of real humble guys. These guys rolled through for a show and I had a chance to shoot the shit with them and they were impressed people knew who they were let alone owned their cd.
ReplyDeleteRyan Bales Band was another great cd then the band broke up right after, he tried pulling a new band together and keeps promising a new cd someday in the near future. As long as there's a show with these guys involved from time to time, I'm good.
My nod for best album of the year for me actually gets tied between Cross Canadian, Mike McClure and Scott H. Biram.

Dan Colehour is my latest discovery. He's like a mix of an early springsteen with early mellencamp, very americana. not texas country, but it's in the same ballpark! I posted the download link for it so please give it a try :)
